PRIENE

This city is the early settling place of the Ion world, because Ponionion which is the political and religious centre of Pnomi is in the Priene.

It is said that bias who is one of the seven thinkers lived in Priene at the beginning of 6. century B.C. Priene was set up in 350 B.C. That time it had a port called Mauleshas near the sea side.

Priene never played a regular role in its political life, every time it was unter the sovering of Bergama and Rome...
